LIFE ASPIRE Kick off meeting – LIFE ASPIRE – Advanced logistics platform with road pricing and access criteria to improve urban environment and mobility of goods

Kick off meeting – Lucca, October 26^th – 27^th 2017

The kick off meeting was organised by the coordinating beneficiary (Lucca Municipality) in Lucca on the last 26^th and 27^th of October 2017. The kick off meeting has seen the participation of all members of the Consortium that had the occasion to meet in person and discuss in details the actions foreseen in the project and to define a detailed action plan.

Mr. Alessandro Tambellini, Mayor of Lucca, welcomed the participants and officially opened the LIFE ASPIRE Kick off meeting. The Mayor, during his speech among other things, underlined the importance of this project for the city of Lucca and its environment. The Mayor hopes that LIFE ASPIRE can help improving air quality and, more generally, the quality of life for the citizens especially residents in the historic city centre.

The implementation of the LIFE ASPIRE project will demonstrate city logistics approach, solutions and measures that are new for the specific context and that lead to significant reductions of pollution emissions and energy consumption and to important improvements to the air quality of the Lucca urban environment.
